Lily Cat completes second floor renovations

MONSON — The Lily Cat recently completed a renovation of the building’s second floor, adding insulation, heat, and air conditioning. As a result, the store will be open year round, weather permitting. Hours will be limited but appointments are available.

For the summer, the shop is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday. If you see our car or truck there feel free to come in, even if we’re not technically open, or make an appointment for a time that suits you better.

Lily Cat owners Sean and Johanna S. Billings are also pleased to announce the release of their latest book, “Blair Hill and Highlands: a History.” The book, released in May by Arcadia Publishing, is available in many local outlets. Autographed copies are available at the Lily Cat.

To celebrate these recent milestones, the Lily Cat will host an open house and book signing Saturday, June 29 during store hours. Take a look upstairs in air conditioned comfort and smell the pine walls. Enjoy the new, well lit paper room and shop sewing and textiles, knives, military cast iron and kitchenware, along with the largest selection of antique and vintage buttons in Maine. Light refreshments will be served and visitors can claim a free Maine patch.
