SERVICE HONOR — On May 29 Ken Jay, immediate past president of Three Rivers Kiwanis Milo/Brownville, received the Kiwanis Distinguished Service Certificate. Kiwanis Lt. Gov. Mary Skaggs presented this prestigious award to Jay not only for his five years of being president of the club but for always going above and beyond expectations. He continues to spend many hours at the area schools helping with clubs, presenting awards, arranging for readers to read to kids, and reading to kids himself. Jay was an integral part of getting the Kiwanis Pool League up and running, hence raising many funds for community needs. He is always there with a smile, funny story, a helping hand, and a calm, insightful way.
