Climate Conversations to resume

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The changing climate is more and more on people’s minds. There is much to think about, from warming oceans, to increasing severe weather, to mounting trash and plastic pollution. Are you interested in exploring topics related to climate change while sharing a potluck dinner?

The Commons Energy Collaborative is re-starting the monthly Climate Conversations, which were interrupted due to COVID in 2020. The mission is to bring people together to educate ourselves about climate change, share ideas, concerns, strategies, and actions, and to support each other in a spirit of community collaboration. They will have a potluck meal, a brief presentation/video, followed by discussion.

This month the topic will be “Zero-waste-is this achievable?” People of all ages are welcome. Meetings will be held monthly on the last Thursday of the month in the multipurpose room of the Central Hall Commons at 152 East Main Street in Dover-Foxcroft. The meeting for this month will take place on Thursday, May 30 from 5:30-7 p.m. and all are invited – free. Please join us for an evening of good food, conversation, and learning.
