Call/Thoreau photo exhibit
DEXTER — The Dexter Historical Society’s traveling Albert Lincoln Call/Henry David Thoreau photo exhibit is up in Dexter at Millworks at 16 Church Street. The exhibit is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays through Oct. 28. Appointments can be made to view at other times.
The “North To Katahdin With Bert and Henry” exhibit includes 35 large size Call photos from mostly the North Woods of Maine that are matched with Thoreau quotes from his three trips to the Maine woods in 1846, 1853, and 1857. The exhibit is free and has not been up since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
