Blacksmith Shop Museum open for the summer

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Blacksmith Shop Museum, located on the Dawes Road in Dover-Foxcroft, is now open for the summer. It is open most days.

We have four blacksmith demonstrations scheduled for the summer season: June 17 will feature Dustin Freefhy-Poiss; July 8 will feature Jason Schriver; Aug. 12 or 19 (check papers for which date) will be Adam Viera and finally, and Sept. 9 will feature Dwight King. All demos are free to the public and are held at the Dunham Forge located next to the museum. We would love for you to visit and enjoy some old time blacksmith history in a shop built in the 1850s.
