‘Dover-Foxcroft Meet the Candidates Forum’

DOVER-FOXCROFT — In anticipation of the June Dover-Foxcroft municipal elections, the Highlands Regional Chapter of the League of Women Voters of Maine is hosting a nonpartisan “Meet the Candidates Forum” in Dover-Foxcroft on Saturday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to noon at Thompson Free Library. All declared candidates for selectman, assessor, and overseer of the poor have been invited to participate. This is a public service offered by the LWV for voters to have an opportunity to hear from the candidates and ask them questions about issues of concern.

The Town of Dover-Foxcroft municipal candidate election and budget validation referendum is on Tuesday, June 13. Polls are located at the Morton Avenue Municipal Building Gymnasium. Polls open for voting 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voter registration opens at 7 a.m. Absentee voting begins on Friday, May 12. The last day to vote absentee without a reason is June 8 at 4:30 p.m.
