Food drive fills the seats at Center Theatre

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The local community came together to generously donate hundreds of pounds of food and nearly $1,000 in financial contributions during the Center Theatre’s annual “Fill the Seats Food Drive” to benefit the Dover-Foxcroft Area Food Center.

 “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our community members, businesses and organizations who helped make the second year of the ‘Fill the Seats Food Drive’ such a success,” said Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre’s executive director. “It’s heartwarming to see everyone come together to support those in need. These donations will make a significant difference for the Dover-Foxcroft Area Food Center and the families they serve.”

During the “Fill the Seats Food Drive,” community members were encouraged to donate non-perishable food items and monetary contributions to the Dover-Foxcroft Area Food Center, an organization dedicated to fighting food insecurity and providing assistance to families in need. The food drive aimed to literally fill the seats of the Center Theatre’s large auditorium with donations.
