‘Electrical Power: From Grid to Home’ on April 18

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Have you ever wondered how kilowatts get generated and delivered to your home? Steven Robinson will be the guest speaker of this month’s “Coffee Talk” held on Tuesday, April 18 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Central Hall Commons. Robinson will provide an overview of Maine’s power grid.

The event will be hosted by Central Hall Commons as part of an ongoing series of monthly, early evening discussions on a variety of topics we hope will enlighten and enrich members of the community.

“We’re excited to host our version of a ‘fireside chat’ to provide families in our region with more information about how their electricity is generated and delivered,” said Tara Smith. “Steven will provide the answer of why your power blinks 3 times before going out, as well as helping to navigate electric utility billing.”

Robinson has over 28 years of experience in the electric utility sector. He will share helpful information on electrical home safety, the benefits of energy efficiency, and specifically how customers can save money on their energy bills.

There will be time for questions and answers following the presentation.

Central Hall Commons “Coffee Talk” is free to attend and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
