Finn/contra dance Saturday evening

MONSON — The Finnish Farmers Club presents a combined Finn/contra dance on Saturday, March 25 from 7-10 p.m. at the Monson Gymnasium. The evening will alternate between traditional Finn dances including schottisches, polkas, and more, and New England-style contra dances.

The Finn music will be provided by Alexandra Bennett and friends, while the contra dances will be taught by local caller Allison Aldrich Smith and music by the beloved local band Some Reel People. No experience necessary — this is a family-friendly event that promises to be fun. Refreshments will be served. 

A donation of $8 at the door is requested to assist with the cost of utilities over the winter at Finn Hall in Monson. For more information, please call 207-598-6398.
