To the Editor;

During our Governor’s inaugural address, she stated, “This is Maine, not Washington.” Early on in my four years serving in Augusta, it became clear, the majority party was following the national Democrat agenda, not the wishes of the average Maine citizen. Many bills that were proposed and most that passed confirmed this.

If you’re worried that we cannot afford more of the same, I ask that you support Republicans on your ballot from top to bottom. Most, like me, are running out of concern for where our state is headed. They are coming out of retirement, setting aside time from their business or workplace, or coming back for another go at it with a commitment to get Maine back on the right track before it’s no longer recognizable or affordable for our future generations.

I ask that no matter your party affiliation, you support, as I will, the Republican candidates who are running out of a sense of duty to serve the state they love, its citizens, and their values and not the wishes of bureaucrats in Augusta or Washington.
