Thompson Free Library welcomes Maine Poet Laureate Bouwsma

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Thompson Free Library, located at 186 East Main Street, is excited to welcome Julia Bouwsma, Maine’s sixth Poet Laureate, for a reading at 6 p.m. on Thursday Nov. 3. Bouwsma, a poet, editor, creative writing teacher at UMaine-Farmington and the director of the Webster Library in Kingfield, has published two poetry collections “Midden” and “Work by Bloodlight,” both of which are available at the library.

The library is open Tuesday and Thursday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday and Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
