Memorial Day observance for Dover-Foxcroft
COLOR GUARD — The stars and stripes of the U.S. flag and then flags for the American Legion and POW/MIA led the way during the 2019 Memorial Day parade in Dover-Foxcroft. On Monday American Legion Post 29 will observe Memorial Day with a 9 a.m. parade (assembling at 8:30 a.m.). The procession goes to the bridge for a wreath laying ceremony, then on to Monument Square for remarks and continued observance.
A DAY TO REMEMBER — American Legion Post 29 Commander Adrienne Clarke gave the keynote address during the 2019 Memorial Day observance in Dover-Foxcroft. On Monday morning the 9 a.m. parade will proceed from the fire station to the bridge and then to Monument Square for remarks.
MEMORIAL DAY — Parade participants, carrying a wreath and flowers for a ceremony over the Piscataquis River, and the Foxcroft Academy band march in a Memorial Day procession in Dover-Foxcroft.
