DOVER-FOXCROFT – SeDoMoCha Elementary School’s drama program Stageworks, Jr.
recently performed “Frozen Kids” at the Central Hall Commons, with 100-plus people seeing each show held on a Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening for two April weekends.
More than 25 students participated, including high-schoolers who helped move sets, do the lights, and assist the younger performers backstage. They worked hard to learn singing, dancing, and acting over two months leading up to the performances.
Two scenes from “Frozen Kids” will be performed at the Pine Tree Hospice Variety Show on Saturday, April 30 at the Center Theatre. Attendees will see “Let It Go” and “In Summer” as the cast performs together one last time.
Stageworks Jr. plans to do another musical next school year with the dates and musical to be determined. Those involved appreciate all the community support.
They also thank the wonderful Commons at Central Hall for hosting us – they were wonderful! The stage, lighting and sound system made it all possible. Tara Smith and her crew at Central Hall were amazing.
