SENIOR ALL-STAR – Filip Brkic of Foxcroft Academy was chosen as a Maine McDonald’s Senior All-Star. Brkic will be part of the Class AA/A/B North team which will play the South senior all-stars at Husson University on Saturday, March 12.
The Maine Association of Basketball Coaches recently announced that three senior high school basketball players from the area will be taking part in the 2022 Maine McDonald’s Senior All-Star Games on Saturday, March 12 at Newman Gymnasium on the campus of Husson University in Bangor. The games bring together the top members of the Class of 2022 from across the state to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine.
The Maine Association of Basketball Coaches recently announced that three senior high school basketball players from the area will be taking part in the 2022 Maine McDonald’s Senior All-Star Games on Saturday, March 12 at Newman Gymnasium on the campus of Husson University in Bangor. The games bring together the top members of the Class of 2022 from across the state to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine.
The Boys Class AA/A/B North team will include Filip Brkic of Foxcroft Academy.
Pony head coach Toby Nelson will serve as a North coach. Nelson was also named Coach of the Year for Class B North by the Maine Association of Basketball Coaches.
Filip will join the other top 11 seniors in the region from the state’s three largest classes to take on the AA/A/B South squad on March 12 – tipoff time to be announced.
The Girls C/D game will feature a pair of players from the area. Elizabeth Kinney of Dexter Regional High School was chosen for the C/D North team, and Greenville High School’s Lila Kronholm is a member of the C/D South squad.
