‘Sauna Magic’ at Thompson Free Library

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Thompson Free Library invited you to join writer/photographer Garrett Conover in a free presentation of “Sauna Magic” Thursday, Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. at the library (186 East Main Street). The show introduces Finnish style saunas to newcomers to the tradition, and follows through with profiles of several of the saunas and people in North America that shared their experiences in creating the book “Sauna Magic, Health & Happiness & Community.”

An inspiring diversity of traditions, rituals, and marvelous joy unfolds, illuminating the driving forces that are fueling a global surge in enthusiasm for the magic of sauna. Whether you are just curious, or already under the spell of fire, stone, water, and wood, “Sauna Magic” glows with bliss and wellbeing. Limited seating is available. Masks and physical distancing required.
