Saturday track and field results

During a home meet on May 8 the Foxcroft boys came in third among a field of four schools with a score of 49 points.

Jesse Drury had the day’s top time in the 100 at 11.96 seconds. Drury also anchored the first-place 4×100 relay as Jackson Smith, Bodie Clarke, Kemsley Marsters and Drury combined for a time of 48.63 seconds. Drury was also second in the long jump at 17-09.50 and third in the 200 at 25.10 seconds.

Jacob Reed won the high jump as he cleared a height of 5-08. He also placed fifth in the triple jump at 31-10.75.

Marsters was the 100-meter runner-up at 12.12 seconds. He was also third in both the shot put and javelin at 37-04 and 124-02.

Smith came in second in the high jump at 5-06 and he was fourth in the 100 in a time of 12.53 seconds.

Clarke came in third in the 100 at 12.33 seconds and fifth in the 200 at 25.38 seconds.

Aidan Curry placed fourth in the 110 hurdles at 21.28 seconds, and Jack Kingsbury finished fourth in the long jump at 15-02.50.

The Dexter boys finished fourth at Foxcroft Academy with 16 points.

Issac Webber won the javelin with his throw of 128-10. Gage Sinclair finished second in the event at 124-06.

Michael Gadwah was second in the 110 hurdles in a time of 19.87 seconds and he placed fourth in the 300 hurdles at 52.32 seconds.

In the girls’ meet, Foxcroft placed third of four teams with 24 points.

Anna Raynes won the 800 in 2:52.56, and Lorane Genot finished second at 3:08.65.

Kasey Howell placed second in the 200 in a time of 30.90 seconds. She also was fifth in the 100 at 14.66 seconds and ran the final leg of the fourth-place 4×100 relay. Makayla Landry, Grace Carlson, Cadence Herrick and Howell combined for a time of 1:01.25.

The Ponies’ Amara Perfect finished second in the javelin at a distance of 68-09. Emma Ladd was third in the 100 hurdles at 21.53 seconds.

For Dexter Elyssa Jerome came in second in the 100 hurdles at 21.41 seconds and second in the shot put at 21-00.25.

Brooklyn Blocker placed third in the shot put at 20-07. Elyssa Jerome came in fifth in both the 200 and high jump at 32.81 seconds and 4-02.

On May 8 Greenville High School and Penquis Valley High School both traveled to Old Town High School. The Greenville boys were fifth among six teams with 22 points and Penquis picked up 20 to place sixth.

Greenville senior Matt Snyder won the discus with a throw of 116-01. He also came in second in the javelin at 120-08.

Laker senior Andrew Pierce placed fifth in the shot put at 29-03, and sophomore Devin Lauritsen was fifth in the 100 at 13.70 seconds.

For Penquis, junior David Stone came in third in the discus at a distance of 97-10. He also was fourth in the shot put at 30-06.

Sophomore Adam Lewis finished fourth in the 100 at 13.44 seconds and fifth in the 200 at 27.86 seconds. Freshman Damion Drake was fourth in the 1,600 at 5:33.94.

In the girls’ meet, Greenville picked up 25 points to place fourth among a half dozen schools and Penquis was sixth with two points.

Laker senior Jessica Cobb won the 300 hurdles in a time of 1:03.49. She also was fifth in the 110 hurdles at 20.63 seconds.

Junior Ashley Bussell came in third in the javelin at 63-04. Senior Madison Kane was third in the 100 hurdles at 20.46 seconds and senior Lindsey Chandler was sixth in the 100 at 14.41 seconds.

For Penquis senior Courtney Rouleau was fifth in the high jump at a height of 4-02.

PCHS took part in a meet at the Brewer Community School with the Pirate girls placing six of six teams with 10 points.

Pirate sophomore Molly Sipple won the 100 in a time of 13.68 seconds.
