Foxcroft boys track finishes first at home meet

DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Foxcroft Academy boys track and field team finished in first place among a field of three teams with a score of 89 points during a home meet on May 4.

Jesse Drury won both the 100 meters in a time of 11.86 seconds and long jump at a distance of 18 feet, 9.5 inches.

Kemsley had the day’s best performance in the shot put at 37-09.50, and he came in second in the 100 at 12.10 seconds.

Khyrstofer Downing won the 3,200 at 12:56.81 and he finished second in the 1,600 at a time of 6:03.50.

Jackson Smith placed first in the high jump at 5-04, and Jacob Reed was second on jumps at a height of 5-04.

In the 200 Bodie Clarke and Smith were one, two with respective times of 26.04 and 26.28 seconds.

Other second-place performers for the Ponies were Zachary Peirce in the 400 at 1:07.01, Joseph Nelson in the 800 at 3:07.59, Aidan Curry in the 300 hurdles at 51.26 seconds and Jack Kingsbury in the triple jump at 30-01.50.

The Dexter Regional High School boys placed third in the team standings with 50 points.

Michael Gadwah swept the hurdles as he won the 110-meter event in 20.49 seconds and 300 hurdles in 49.44 seconds.

Fred Beem came in first in the 200 at 29.72 seconds and Cameron Allen won the 400 in 1:02.30.

Issac Webber finished first in the javelin with a throw of 134-10, and Gage Sinclair came in second at 121-05. Avery Gagnon was second in the long jump at 18-01.

In the girls’ meet, Foxcroft came in second among four schools with 33 points, Piscataquis Community High School was third with 25 points and Dexter placed fourth with 17 points.

Anna Raynes of Foxcroft won the 800 in a time of 2:53.26.

Emma Ladd was second in the 100 hurdles at 21.62 seconds and Kasey Howell finished second in the 200 at 31.01 seconds. The Pony 4×100 relay — Ladd, Grace Carlson, Makayla Landry and Howell — placed second at 1:00.47.

For PCHS, Kendall Kimball had the top performance in the javelin with a throw of exactly 78 feet.

Molly Sipple placed second in both the 100 at 13.94 seconds and 800 at 3:01.45.

Dexter’s Elyssa Jerome won the 100 hurdles in 21.44 seconds, and she came in second in the 400 at 1:16.33. Lauryn Brunner finished second in the high jump at 4-02.
