Skills, knowledge, vision and energy

To the Editor;

I’m writing in support of sending Margarita Contreni to Augusta as our state representative for House District 119. Just the fact that she’s the successful mother of six says the woman has skills. Her professional work history as an educator, administrator and leader says she knows how to use them. Her current volunteer work with local community efforts including the Moosehead Lake Economic Development Corporation and the Piscataquis County Democratic Committee says she has vision to see possibilities and opportunities where others see problems. She also has the energy and dedication to work with others on finding solutions and obtaining needed resources to bring ideas and solutions to fruition.

I want to send someone to Augusta who is invested in moving Piscataquis and Maine forward while still honoring our rich heritage. Our world is changing around us and will continue to do so. The status quo was OK for yesterday, but not for tomorrow. A change is needed. Please join me in sending this talented, resourceful woman to Augusta to work for a progressive, prosperous future for us all.
