Valentine’s mystery dinner party at Central Hall
DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre and Slightly Off-Center Players Community Theater Group are hosting a Valentine’s Day mystery dinner party at the Commons Event Center at Central Hall. The dinner party titled “Happily Never After” will start at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14 The event is suitable for all ages and everyone in attendance will be part of solving the evening’s mystery.
According to Patrick Myers, the Center Theatre’s executive director, there will be prizes awarded at the end of the night, “We’ll be giving prizes for people who solve the mystery correctly, for best costume, and other fun prizes. There’s a fairy-tale theme for the party so it’s a great chance to get dressed up or just come out for a fun time with friends.”
Myers said that all attendees at the party will receive an invitation to a royal valentine’s party — the Fairest of Them All Ball to honor Snow White and celebrate Sleeping Beauty waking in the kingdom of Once Upon a Time. At some point during the party a crime will occur and party goers will need to solve the mystery. Everyone at the party will get information on their character that gives them clues and things they need to try and discover over the course of the evening.
Tickets to the party include a full dinner with snacks and appetizers, an entree of steak tips or stuffed mushrooms and a variety of sides and desserts. Non-alcoholic beverages are included, but a cash bar from will also be available. Tickets for the event are $30 per person, $50 per couple, or $200 for a table of eight.
