PCHS group wins Thomas Cup

WATERVILLE — High school students from across the state competed in a five-part STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) competition on Saturday, Dec. 7 at Thomas College. Competitions included robotics, cybersecurity, crime scene investigation, innovation and League of Legends.

Piscataquis Community High School students — the team includes Faith Ohlson, Joshua Oldham, Sam Maines, Caleb Bailey and Tyler Libby — mentored by Thomas College student Megan Cousins, won the 2-foot trophy on Saturday. This is the first time students from PCHS have won this competition.
