Almasi finishes 32nd at Maine Marathon

PORTLAND — Brett Almasi, 39 of Dover-Foxcroft and a member of the social studies faculty at Foxcroft Academy, placed 32nd at the 28th Gorham Savings Bank Maine Marathon on Sunday, Oct. 6 in Cumberland County.

Almasi covered the 26.2 miles in a nettime time of 3 hours, 1 minute and 36 seconds to place 32nd overall out of a field of 707 finishers. He was seventh of 46 runners in the men’s age 35-39 division.

Elizabeth Willinski, 30 of Milo, placed 546th in the marathon with a time of 4:49.23.

Running in the half-marathon was Ryan Robinson, 50 of Garland. He came in 779th among 1,827 finishers with a time of 1:59.34.

In other road race news, Christopher Almy, 70 of Charleston, ran in the Tradewinds Great Pumpkin 4K on Sept. 22 in Blue Hill. Almy placed 22nd among 52 entrants with a time of 18:59.
