Stephen Bradford Turnbull
Stephen Bradford Turnbull, 34, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 15, 2019 at his home. Born in Rockport on November 9, 1984, he was the son Stephen C. and Shirley (Quimby) Turnbull and was a member of the Class of 2002 at Camden-Rockport High School. During his high school years, he enjoyed writing songs, playing the guitar, and hanging out with his friends.
Following high school graduation, Steve worked with his father in their lawn care business. Steve’s dream was to one day write a comic book and make it into an animated series.
Steve met Karen Gilbert from Parkman, they fell in love, and were married in 2012. For several years, they lived in Thomaston then moved to Parkman in 2014 to be near Karen’s parents after the birth of their son, Jackson.
Steve had a life-long passion for music both new and old. He was an artist at heart and loved the outdoors, especially being near the ocean. His wry sense of humor was enjoyed by all who loved him. He loved making his son laugh.
Family was a very important part of Steve’s life and he was very close to his parents, sister, aunts, and cousins, although the joy of his life was that of his son, Jackson.
