Moosehead Lake Togue Derby with Ricky Craven Jan. 25-27
GREENVILLE — We have ice. We have fish. We have prizes, and we have the cash. We just need you. It’s time to fire up for the 12th annual Moosehead Lake Togue Derby with Ricky Craven. It should be a great time for another big derby on Maine’s largest lake. The togue are bigger and fatter than ever thanks to all those anglers that have been helping to harvest fish since the derby’s inception. So, make your plans and grab your gear.
You can buy your tickets online by visiting the NRECmoosehead.org website or visiting one of these supporting businesses: Indian Hill Trading Post, Moosehead Bait and Tackle, Lucky Bait, Old Town Trading Post, Mountain’s Market, and Stress Free Moose. Also, remember we are having a special youth raffle at the derby. Any kids listed on a family ticket get entered once, and you can buy additional chances for $5 at any of the ticket sale locations.
Remember: you do not need to fish to win any of the great door prizes or the kid’s raffle. Just buy a ticket and you are entered. Door prizes are drawn on Saturday night (5-7 p.m.) at the awesome spaghetti dinner at the Bartley Center Cove Event Center at 241 Pritham Avenue. You do not have to be present to win. Everyone is welcome to the angler’s meal that includes a nice warm plate of pasta and swapping lies.
You can pick up a prize at the derby weigh station in Greenville on Sunday morning. We can also mail most of the prizes if you win and you are out of town.
Please “LIKE” the NRECmoosehead Facebook page to keep track of the fish board and to see if you won a prize. Prize winners will be posted late Saturday night. Good luck and tight lines!
