Pirates capture Penquis League girls soccer championship
The Piscataquis Community Middle School girls soccer team is the 2018 Penquis League champions following a 1-0 victory in the final vs. Greenville Middle School on Saturday, Oct. 20.
GUILFORD — The Piscataquis Community Middle School girls soccer team is the 2018 Penquis League champions following a 1-0 victory in the final vs. Greenville Middle School on Saturday, Oct. 20.
Eighth-grader Kendall Kimball scored the lone of the championship during the first half as the Pirates held on for a 1-0 victory.
The Pirates are coached by Thomas Panciera, who was in his first year at the helm. Team members are eighth-graders Brylee Ricker, Abbey Ricker, Katelyn White, Kendall Kimball, goalie Lauren Robinson, Molly Sipple, Bella Thompson, Meriel Willey, and Destiny Dever. Seventh-graders manager Allie Raymond and Kaleigh Elderkin. Sixth-graders Abby Burgess and Baylyn Grant. Fifth-graders Hope Hunt, Cassidy Drew, Lizzy Gilbert, Brooklynn Hunt, and Bella Buehne.
