Five locals run in MDI Half-Marathon

BAR HARBOR — Five area residents took part in the 2018 MDI Half-Marathon on Oct. 14 on Mount Desert Island. Rico Portalatin, 47 of Milo, finished sixth out of a field of 633 entrants. Portalatin covered the 13.1 miles in 1 hour, 16 minutes, and 52 seconds. Portalatin won the men’s 45-49 division, and he had the top performance of anyone over the age of 35.

Peter Devine, 69 of Garland, placed 290th in a time of 2:15.32. Judy Snow, 63 of Dover-Foxcroft, came in 478th at 2:41.40. Angela Arno, 40 of Dover-Foxcroft, was 627th at 4:10.59, and right behind was Scott Arno, 54 of Dover-Foxcroft, at 4:11.00.
