George Edward Forrest

Dover-Foxcroft – George Edward Forrest, 89, passed away on October 9, 2018 at Mayo Regional Hospital. He was born May 31, 1929 in Brownville, son of Ernest and Mildred (Stubbs) Forrest. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Beryl Forrest, who passed away on October 14, 2016.
He served our country in the Army and Airforce from 1946 – 1954. George was known for his easy going personality. He hardly ever complained about anything! He enjoyed working on Jets and other vehicles as a mechanic. He enjoyed working alongside his wife in their garden years ago, listening to the radio and Bonanza and Lawrence Welk.
He is survive by one brother Gerald Forrest of Brownville and one sister Jeanine Ames of Milo. He leaves behind three gown children, Pam Whipple, Ernie Forrest and Julie Hanson along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. All lovingly calling him Papa. He was a #l Dad and Papa. No funeral by request of the family. He will be greatly missed.
