GREENVILLE — Following a successful pilot project during the summer of 2017, the Moosehead Lake Region Economic Development Corporation (MLREDC) will launch the first full summer season of the festive Artisan Village at 35 Pritham Avenue on the Moosehead lakefront in Greenville. Four colorful cottages will house different artists from all over Maine beginning the weekend of June 23-24 and then Thursday through Monday from June 28 through Sunday, Sept. 10. During the late season artists will work weekends through Oct. 14 with a variety of skilled craftwork being displayed.

All activities are free and open to the public. In case of inclement weather, the celebration will be moved to the Center for Moosehead History at 6 Lakeview Street.
Over the next 12 weeks artisans from all corners of Maine — painters, photographers, woodcarvers, potters, basket-makers, jewelry-makers, fabric artists and more — will showcase their handmade arts and crafts. Wander through the villages, meet the artists and select authentic Maine-made items to take home. The village will be open through early evening to keep the downtown alive as people wander the lake shore seeking activity and food.
