FORT KENT — On May 11 91 University of Maine at Fort Kent nursing students graduated from the program, with 32 of them attending the 34th annual UMFK Nurse Pinning Ceremony on campus. Among the 32 was Tricia N. Sherman of Greenville Junction.

Students in absentia were Michele M. Cole of Dover Foxcroft, Devon C. Malay of Sebec and Susan R. McKinley of Medford.

The theme for this year’s pinning ceremony was “Nurses: Inspire, Innovate, and Influence.” To begin the ceremony, Cheryl Roberts, instructor of nursing, thanked a number of institutions for supporting the graduates during their clinical courses, as well as offering them a setting in which to complete their preceptorships, including Mayo Regional Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft.
