Rose “Rosie” Linette Heal
MILO – Rose “Rosie” Linette Heal, 72, of Milo, died peacefully on December 13, 2017, at EMMC in Bangor. She was with her family and after a long battle of kidney disease was able to be at peace.
She was born on June 3, 1945, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Llewellyn C. Damon and Martha A. (Nason) Damon. She was predeceased by her husband, Nolan R. Heal; her brother, Henry Damon Sr; and her sister, Georgia (Damon) Woodard.
She was a long time employee of Hathaway Shirt Factory and Dexter Shoe Factory. She enjoyed helping people in her community and neighborhood. She made sure everyone had warm clothes and food if they needed it. One of her greatest joys was her great grandson Owen. She would always say that he had cute little toes! She had many friends that loved her and will miss her dearly.
She is survived and will be missed by her daughter, Florilla A. (Heal) Pelkey of Bucksport; her son, Henry Damon Jr and wife Colleen of New York; six grandchildren, who she loved so much, Sarah (Pelkey) Baldwin and her husband Zachary of Bucksport, Terrance Pelkey Jr of Glenburn, Michael Damon of New York, Nicole Damon of New York, Jamie Damon of Milo and Joshua Damon of Jackman; one four year old great grandson, Owen, of Bucksport; brother, Donald Damon and wife Jean of New Hampshire; special niece Patty Weeman-Damon of Lewiston; and her special and loving friend, George Breault, of Milo.
The family extends a special thank you to the nurses on the sixth floor of EMMC, who took such loving care of her.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the Sebec Village Community Christian Church, Sebec, Maine.
