“We thought it could be valuable for our parents and students to have questions answered from people in the know,” said Kandi Martin, school counselor. “We want our students to get applications and information to their respective schools on time and this might make the whole process a little less hectic during a very busy year.”

From 5-6 p.m. will be the college information session for seniors and parents/guardians of the Class of 2018 located in the gymnasium — younger students and their families are welcome to attend. Counselors will be discussing college applications, essays, deadlines, financial aid applications, scholarships, required forms, and more. This is a time where parents and students can ask specific questions about the application process. This event is highly recommended to parents and guardians of seniors.

From 6-7:30 p.m. is the college fair for all students in the gymnasium. Nearly 30 Maine colleges will be present, set up, and ready for students and parents to stop and ask specific questions about applications, programs, etc. Families can mingle between the open house and college fair. The fair is also open to students from Dexter, Greenville, PCHS, Penquis Valley, and elsewhere.

The open house for all Foxcroft Academy families will be from 6-7 p.m. as attendees can come and meet the teachers, find out about grading, curriculum, expectations, and more.
