FIND THE WHOOPIE PIE WINNER — Maureen Doore, center of Dover-Foxcroft, is the grand prize winner in The Piscataquis Observer’s annual Find the Whoopie Pie Contest. Doore’s name was chosen from 10 weekly winners in which entrants successfully located a whoopie pie hidden in one of that week’s advertisements. Doore won a basket of goodies including Maine Whoopie Pie Festival and Piscataquis Observer prizes. Presenting the prize package to Doore at the Center Theatre is Maine Whoopie Pie Festival Founder and Organizer Patrick Myers and Keri Foster of The Piscataquis Observer. The weekly winners each received passes and a car decal for the 2017 Maine Whoopie Pie Festival, which will be on Saturday, June 24 in downtown Dover-Foxcroft.
