AOS 43 names new assistant superintendent

LAGRANGE — AOS 43 has announced the hiring of Dr. Kelley Weiss to become the director of curriculum/ assistant superintendent beginning July 1.
She is currently the principal of the Enfield Station School where she has been at the helm for the past four years. Dr. Weiss earned her doctorate in curriculum and instruction from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. in 2016.
She takes the place of Meredith Higgins who was named to the position in last year but who is leaving to seek a new position at the end of this school year. Dr. Weiss was unanimously approved by the directors at a March 20 meeting.
“We are pleased to have Kelley in this new leadership position,” said AOS 43 Superintendent Michael Wright. “She has great energy and enthusiasm, and excellent knowledge of curriculum and instruction. She will be a great asset in helping to lead our key initiatives.”
Dr. Weiss has been part of the AOS 43 administrative team during her tenure as Enfield Station School principal.
Enfield is one of the 10 towns currently under the domain of AOS 43 which oversees both SAD 41 of the Milo-area and the Howland-based SAD 31. SAD 31 will begin a search for a new principal to replace Dr. Weiss at the Enfield Station School soon.
