Maine Maple Sunday Breakfast this weekend

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Each year, the Dover-Foxcroft Shiretown Homecoming Committee hosts a maple breakfast during Maine Maple Weekend. Several years ago the event was moved to the gymnasium of Foxcroft Academy to accommodate the hundreds of men, women and children who attend.
This year’s breakfast will be Sunday, March 26 from 7-10 a.m. Foxcroft Academy is located at 975 West Main Street.
Dozens of local businesses throughout the region sponsor this event, which is becoming more popular each year. It could be the fact that spring is around the corner, or that attendees are guaranteed to be served with a smile or that everyone is just plain happy to be there — not to mention the delicious variety of breakfast foods and the donated maple syrup from Bob’s Sugar House of Dover-Foxcroft. Whatever the reason, the crowds multiply each year and everyone leaves with a full belly and a wide smile.
Menu items include pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and homemade homefries. Beverage choices include coffee, tea, milk or juice. The Homecoming Committee will also hold a 50/50 raffle.
All proceeds from the breakfast go toward future homecoming festivities. For more information, please see the Dover-Foxcroft Shiretown Homecoming Celebration Facebook page.
Maine Maple Sunday Breakfast sponsors make this annual event unforgettable. The Shiretown Homecoming Committee extends sincere thanks to each sponsor and invites anyone who would like to attend this breakfast to come with an appetite on March 26.
