Provo joins CHCS team

DOVER-FOXCROFT — Karen Provo has been hired as a full-time community support worker for Community Health and Counseling Services, CHCS officials announced Dec. 29.
She will provide services to both adults and children.
Provo attended Anna Maria College in Paxton, Mass., where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in social work in 1980.
She has previous experience working as a medical social worker at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, and has also held positions where she has been instrumental in assisting adults to access independent living services as well as overseeing community residential programs. Most recently she worked at United Cerebral Palsy of Maine as a behavioral health professional, supporting youth and their families.
“I enjoy assisting clients in finding healthy and effective solutions to situations in their lives. Everyone periodically needs help,” Provo said.
“People can and do overcome barriers and obstacles that confront them and I am honored to be trusted with their stories. I am here to link folks to services which they are eligible for and to do so in an organized and efficient way,” she said.
For more information regarding available services, contact the Dover-Foxcroft office at 802-3102 or visit CHCS online at www.chcs-me-org to learn more about the adult, child and family services program.
