Eugene G. Bullock of Corinth, ME, loving husband and loving father passed this Sunday, July 31, 2016 at EMMC, unexpectedly from a short battle with cancer. Gene was born in Illinois, raised in Phoenix, AZ, and relocated to Bangor, ME after his service in the United States Air Force where he met and married his wife of 38 years, Barbara J. Bullock.
Gene had a passion for the AA Community and ran the Thursday night AA meetings at the Capehart Community Center, where he has celebrated 28 years of sobriety. He also worked for Dorr’s Equipment for over 28 years. Gene was always willing to give a helping hand when asked and always a Mr. Fix-it. Eventhough Gene was originally from the South, he had a lot of “YANKEE INGENUITY!” His Deviled Eggs, cheese cakes, and chili will sadly be missed at all of our family gatherings. Gene always had a story to tell and remained in good spirits and good humor right up until his untimely death.
Gene is survived by his wife Barbara, his children Eric, Heather, Andrea and Cassie; several nieces and nephews, three great-nieces, and two great-nephews, and six grandchildren. Gene is also survived by in-laws Bobby, Kathy, Andy, and Gloria which he considered more like siblings than in-laws. The family would like to make a special mentioning of the very special bond he shared with his niece Stephanie and his nephew Nicklolas.
Gene was predeceased by his father Herbert Bullock of Arizona and beloved pets Sierra, Barron, Jonesy, Abbey, Samantha and Cabbot. In lieu of monetary donations, please donate to Forgotten Felines of Maine, P. O. Box 264, Gouldsboro, ME 04607.
Gene did not want to have any funeral services, but we will be having a gathering of close friends and family at his sister-in-law Gloria’s on Saturday , August 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., 88 Sidney St., Bangor, ME.
