Holiday card workshop Dec. 1

DEXTER — Bertha Lyons of Dexter will offer a holiday card making workshop at the Abbott Memorial Library on  Thursday,  Dec. 1 at 1:30 p.m. The class will last  for approximately 90 minutes.  Participants will have a choice of card designs to choose from. Reservations are required, please call 924-7292 to RSVP.

Classes will continue through the spring and feature either birthday or other holiday cards. The library is located at One Church Street.

The Abbott Memorial Library will be offering a coloring program on Tuesdays from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Attendees can   bring their own markers and colored pencils or use the library’s. Studies have shown that coloring allows participants to switch off their brains from other thoughts and focus only on the moment, helping to alleviate  anxiety and reduce stress.

This is a free program, so get out of the house and come and enjoy a relaxing afternoon while adding some beautiful images to one’s life. For more information, please call the library at 924-7292.
