Chasse named Union 60 superintendent

GREENVILLE — Union 60 School Committee is pleased to announce Jim Chasse as the new superintendent for the 2016-17 school year. Chasse has 19 years of experience as an educational leader, most recently serving as principal of Orono High School and having also been a technology director as part of the variety of experience he brings to the job.

Chasse received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Maine. In addition, he attended the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Connecticut. Successful initiatives at his previous school include fine arts programming across disciplines, a school-supporting foundation and a foreign student tuition program.

The new superintendent will serve in a part-time capacity beginning July 1.

“We are very excited to have Mr. Jim Chasse on board,” said Union 60 School Committee Chair Leslie Bilodeau.
