Bickford, Bourget, Clukey and Law to represent FA at all-star games

Foxcroft Academy catcher Brooks Law has been selected to play in both the Maine-New Hampshire Senior All-Star Game (in Nashua, N.H. on June 22) and the Maine Senior Class A/B All-Star Game (at Husson University in Bangor June 26 at 6:30 p.m.).
A three-year starter, Law capped a brilliant career with an outstanding senior season, batting .400 with six doubles, one home run and 24 RBI, allowing opponents to steal just 15 bases in 27 attempts (whereas Pony runners were 94-99) and striking out 15 hitters in 12 solid innings on the mound.
For the Foxcroft softball team, sophomore shortstop Grace Bickford, sophomore third baseman Alli Bourget and freshman pitcher/outfielder Jenna Clukey have all been chosen to play in the Maine Freshman/Sophomore Underclassmen All-Star Game, which was held at St. Joseph’s College in Standish on June 23.
Bickford concluded a monster regular season with a .473 batting average, five doubles, three triples, two home runs, 14 RBI and 19 runs scored. Clukey was a workhorse on the mound (8-5 with a 4.05 ERA in 95 innings) and hit .403 with six RBI and 13 runs. Bourget hit .397, scored 16 runs and paced the team with 16 stolen bases.
Junior baseball player Abe Simpson would have played in the Maine Underclassman All-Star Game (at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham on June 24) had he not been injured prior to the postseason. Simpson went 6-1 on the mound with a 1.78 ERA while batting .388 with four doubles, a triple and 15 stolen bases.
