PINWHEELS FOR PREVENTION

Three members of the GFWC/Mioasc Club placed pinwheels at the Dover-Foxcroft United Methodist Church in support of Prevent Child Abuse America. April is Prevent Child Abuse America month and this falls under the Signature Project of Domestic Violence awareness. The club has been placing pinwheels for about five years as members bring pinwheels to club meetings and Leona Dow (pictured), Minnie McCormick and Pat Jones put them out. The club keeps the pinwheels from year to year so the “garden” gets larger annually. Those involved thank the Methodist Church for allowing the pinwheels.
