One-act play auditions in D-F this weekend

    DOVER-FOXCROFT — The Center Theatre and Slightly Off-Center Players will be holding auditions this weekend for a series of one-act plays to be presented in February.
    The auditions will be held at the Center Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 3 at 10 a.m. and Sunday, Jan. 4 at 6 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend the auditions; no previous experience or advanced preparation is required. Anyone interested in auditioning, but unable to attend the auditions should contact the Center Theatre to make other arrangements.

    The one-act plays will be performed on Friday, Feb. 13 and Saturday, Feb. 14.and are being directed by local directors. The one-act plays are all fairly short and all deal with the theme of “spooky love.” The theme was chosen because of the performances dates on Friday the 13th and Valentine’s Day.
    The one-act plays are all family-friendly and deal with love gone wrong, love that’s silly and love gone a little bit spooky. Admission for the one-act plays will be by donation.
    Rehearsals for the one-acts will begin shortly after the auditions based on the individual director’s schedules.
