Program on history’s mysteries set for Saturday, Nov. 8
MILO — On Saturday, Nov. 8, the Milo Historical Society will investigate a few of history’s mysteries. Guest speaker, Sonia Mallar, Regent of the Frances Dighton Williams Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, will solve these in her entertaining and informative program “Myth or Truth: Stories We’ve Heard About Early America.”
As a correspondent docent for the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Museum, located in Washington, D.C., Mrs. Mallar has presented a variety of their programs over the past 15 years. Because this is the 125th anniversary of the DAR, Mrs. Mallar will also speak about the museum’s impressive historic collection, including a description of Maine’s period room, found in the museum. It is decorated and cared for solely by Maine Daughters of the American Revolution.
