Tempesta named interim town manager of Corinna
CORINNA — Al Tempesta, who serves as code enforcement officer for Dexter and Corinna, has been appointed interim town manager of Corinna following the death of Town Manager Kimberly Godsoe.
On July 13, Godsoe was killed when her ATV apparently went out of control and struck a tree in the Somerset County town of Moscow. She had been riding with other ATV’ers but choose to stay behind the group to avoid dust. The exact cause of the crash is unknown, according to Game Warden Jared Herrick.
Godsoe, 38, was a Dover-Foxcroft native and graduate of Dexter Regional High School and Beal College. She was appointed town manager of Corinna in September 2011 after serving as the administrative assistant to the town manager in St. Albans for three years.
Tempesta normally spends Fridays in Corinna, but told the Central Maine Morning Sentinel that he’ll be around more often until town officials hire a permanent successor for Godsoe.
Tempesta was interim town manager in Dexter for a short time and also served on the town’s planning board.
