Robert Leroy Chase
DOVER-FOXCROFT – Robert Leroy Chase, 76, went to be with his Jesus, June 8, 2014. He was surrounded by his family and his pastor, whom he considered friend and family.
Robert was one of nine children born in Milo on December 15, 1937, son of Henry and Flora “Gertrude” (Trask) Chase. He attended Higgins Classical Institute in Charleston for most of his education. Robert attended and graduated from Foxcroft Academy when his family moved to Dover-Foxcroft for his senior year.
Robert proudly served 20 years in the United States Air Force, traveling all over the country, Germany and Iceland.
Robert came to know the Lord later in life. One thing he always looked forward to was playing his weekly games of chess with his pastor, Chris Viera. The time they spent talking about and worshiping the Lord was precious to Bob.
Robert loved his family and let his family know, every day, by dropping a note on their Facebook page.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer; a son, Robert Jr.; three daughters, Kelly Dennis and her husband, Peter, Casey Chase, Christina Little and her husband, Joe; a very special grandson, Garret Ryan Chase; two sisters, Polly Norwood, and Elizabeth Stevens and her husband, Lester; two brothers, Harold Chase and his wife, Roxanne, and Terry Chase and his wife, Mary Lou; multitudes of nieces and nephews; and many friends at Hibbard Nursing Home. He was predeceased by a daughter, Tonya Lynn Chase; two sisters, Joyce Leavitt and Florence Libby; and two brothers, Cecil Chase and Henry Chase, Jr.
