MODEL UN DELEGATES
Students from Foxcroft Academy attended the 16th annual Maine Model United Nations Conference (MeMUNC) May 13-15 at the Gorham campus of the University of Southern Maine. MeMUNC exists to immerse students in the art of diplomacy as well as the rudiments of parliamentary procedure and, above all, to begin to find a better way to reach global stewardship. Some of the topics under scrutiny at this year’s conference were “The Economics of Happiness”, “The Marginalizing Effects on Women in Sport”, “Censorship and Freedom of Speech” and “The Future of the Palestinian State”.
