Inspections and lane closure slated for Pleasant Street bridge
MILO — The Maine Department of Transportation is planning to conduct a full inspection of the Pleasant Street bridge deck structure to determine its strength in preparation for tight weight limitations that are expected to follow shortly thereafter. The proposed inspections are scheduled for Friday, April 11 and Friday, April 18, during which time travel will be reduced to one lane throughout the inspection process on each Friday.
The bridge inspections are a more in-depth follow-up to the cursory inspections that lead to moving up the dates for the deck strengthening project this summer.
