ne-roderka-dcX-po-14    DEXTER — Meredith Roderka, a senior at Dexter Regional High School and the daughter of Michael and Deborah Roderka, has been selected to receive the school’s 2014 Principal’s Award, Principal Stephen Bell announced. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principal’s Association (MPA), is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.

“She works, she volunteers, she participates in co-curricular activities, she serves the student body and she succeeds academically. Meredith is truly the whole package, a great kid and a great student,” Principal said.
Roderka, Bell and other award winners and their principals will attend an Honors Luncheon at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor on April 5. The luncheon recognizes these outstanding students with the presentation of an individual plaque and the awarding of five $1,000 scholarships. This year an additional five $1,000 scholarships will be presented through the efforts of the MPA Scholarship Golf Tournament and support from Berlin City Auto.
The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 100 Maine public and private high schools by member principals of the MPA, the professional association which represents Maine’s school administrators.
