LEGISLATIVE MEMORIAM

Rep. Ray Wallace (R-Dexter) and Rep. Paul Davis (R-Sangerville) recently welcomed Rita and Lisa Cushman, the widow and daughter of Hartland Cushman, to the State House to receive a legislative memoriam. Hartland Cushman was principal at Dexter Regional High School, superintendent of SAD 48 – now RSU 19 – and interim superintendent of SAD 3 and SAD 53.

He also served on the Dexter Utility District and SAD 46 Board of Directors and was a 25-year member of the Dexter Sunrise Kiwanis Club. He passed away in December 2013. Pictured, from left, are Wallace, Rita Cushman, Lisa Cushman and Davis.
