Sandra L. Kennedy

PO-SandraKennedyOB    KENNEBUNK – Sandra L. Tucker Kennedy died peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2014, after her courageous fight with a debilitating illness. She was born on January 17, 1976, in Suffern, NY, the daughter of Jack and Jenny Tucker.
She began her life in Northern NJ and later moved to Atkinson, ME, where she graduated from Foxcroft Academy in 1994. She graduated from Webber College with a Bachelor’s degree in business in 1998, and soon after met the love her life Jake, whom she married in 2003. They quickly started their family while she continued her education and became a Registered Nurse in 2005. Through her work at Maine Medical Center in Portland she was able to show her compassion and caring for others. Sandi was able to touch so many lives, bringing joy and laughter to everyone around her.
She is survived by her parents of Atkinson; husband, Jake; three sons, Tucker (9), twins, Asher and Gunner (5) and a daughter, Skyler (2) of Kennebunk; her brother, John and wife, Denise and their children, Natalie and Jack of Highland Lakes, NJ; mother-in-law, Linda Kennedy; brothers-in-law: Jeremy and his wife, Karolee and children, Megan, Noah, Jeremiah and Sarah of Oakfield; Jason and wife, Juli and their children, Taylor and Tanner of Loris, SC; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her grandparents and father-in-law.
She was a devoted mother, wife and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family, long days at the beach and traveling. No destination was ever too far for her to travel for a visit. She made friends everywhere she went, always leaving a lasting impression and the sound of laughter in her path. Sandi had the biggest heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed.
Sandi’s memories will live on with us every time we go to the beach and hear the sound of the waves crashing. If we are ever hesitant to tackle some new adventure in fear of how difficult it may be on us, think of Sandi, as she knew no such reservation. She had an infectious laugh that you could feel with every inch of your soul. Every time we get to see her husband and four beautiful children, we are quickly reminded she has been taken away from us much too soon, but know she will be smiling down on all of those she loved and warming us with her light. Rest in peace on the most beautiful beach in heaven.
Visiting hours were held at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk, on Friday, March 7, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Memorial Mass was held at Holy Spirit Parish – St. Martha’s Church, Route One, Kennebunk at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2014.
