‘Shared Bounty’ first year recapat DDATT March 7 meeting

DEXTER — As food prices increase, it becomes difficult for families to stretch their food budget. Last year a group of dedicated volunteers in the Dexter area with the generosity of two local farmers began a new garden program. Shared Bounty consists of two gardens, one for seniors to grow their own vegetables or benefit from the harvest which is located at the Sherburne Farm and the other a community garden space on the Arno Road made available by the McKusick Farm.

On Friday, March 7 Deb Burdin will speak about Shared Bounty’s first year and the plan for this year’s gardens. The presentation begins at 7 p.m. in the Abbott Memorial Library Meeting Room. This event is co-sponsored by DDATT (Dexter Dover Area Towns in Transition) and the library. For more information contact 924-3836 or info@ddatt.org.
