By virtue of a sixth-place finish at the Eastern Maine Class C championship on Jan. 25 at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, the Dexter Regional High School cheering team qualified for the state competition — for the third year in a row — on Feb. 8 at the Augusta Civic Center.
Dexter finished with a score of 102.7 points to place in the top six out of 13 schools, and will join the top half dozen from Class C West at the state finals. For more from the 2014 Eastern Maine cheering championship competition, please see page 10.
